On Tuesday 4 December 2007 the London Development Agency launched the North London Development and Investment Framework at North London Business's Property Linx event held at BAFTA in Piccadilly.
Launched by David Lunts, Executive Director of Policy and Partnerships at the Greater London Authority and Liz Meek, Director of the Government Office for London - the framework sets out plans to deliver 58,000 new homes across North London by 2016.
The North London Development and Investment Framework has been led by the LDA in partnership with national, regional and local government to respond to the challenge of delivering 20% of London's projected new homes. It is the first step in aligning and prioritising actions to unlock growth across six London boroughs and ensure supporting infrastructure is delivered.
Of the launch, Finlay Kelly from the Infrastructure Development and Delivery Team said, “This event was aimed squarely at raising the profile of the development opportunities in North London to the private sector. The packed auditorium reflected the level of interest we have generated in north London as an investment proposition”.
