Centre leads cash boost for London's businesses

East London Small Business Centre (ELSBC) has been appointed as the leader of four organisations helping new and existing businesses across London to cope with the economic recession.

Enterprise Enfield is proud to have been selected as a partner, along with GK Partners and GLE oneLondon and is working with ELSBC to ensure accessibility to new start-ups and small and medium sized businesses across London's 33 boroughs.

The Access to Finance programme, funded by the London Development Agency (the LDA), will offer practical help to existing or start-up businesses, seeking to raise £10,000 or more for their business. The overall programme is expected to raise total funds of more than £4 million to support small businesses. 

The programme provides businesses with a minimum of three days of support to help them develop a comprehensive viable business plan, which can then be presented to funders with the potential of securing finance for their businesses. Whilst the project is highly subsidised, businesses wishing to take part will be asked to make a £200 contribution.

As well as introductions to high street bank funding, clients will also be able to access loan funds managed by three of the organisations involved in delivering the programme.
