Colindale housing plans get nod

Plans to construct 700 flats and houses on the site of the former Colindale Hospital in North London have been granted outline planning consent.

The London Borough of Barnet approved the scheme, which is planned to include a new hotel, a public square and a transport interchange.

The application safeguards a plot of land within the development that, subject to planning consent for a new building, could allow Barnet College to relocate to the site.
