Welcome to Waltham Forest

Waltham Forest is in the north east of London and is boardered on the west by the Lee Valley Park and on the north and the east by the Epping Forest. It comprises open spaces of parkland, forests, rivers and reservoirs and a cross section of residential and industrial areas.

Waltham Forest Town HallWaltham Forest has a long history going back to the Doomsday book of 1088, its heritage is still prominent with many ancient buildings present in the borough. Walthamstow market dates back to the very first stall in 1885, it now boasts over 400 stalls nearly a mile long.

Travel to the West End will take only 30 minutes and links from within the borough include Central and Victoria underground lines, West Anglia mainline railway, bus routes, dedicated cycle lanes, good road links via the North Circular and M11 and the borough is 20 miles from Stanstead airport.

There are over 400 acres of parks and open spaces and five sports centres. Walthamstow town centre is part of a large redevelopment plan which will see it improved in every way, transport hubs will be more convenient, there will be new shops, areas of greenery and new entertainment facilities.

Business is spread over sites across the borough with the main employer being health and education followed by wholesale and retail, business services and manufacturing also being important sectors. Again, as Waltham Forest evolves it has left potential for new business to come and develop the area.
