Who owns that piece of land?
The North London commercial property database features commercial premises that are advertised for sale either as freehold, on a leasehold or to let. There may be an area of land that you have identified as being suitable for your business yet you cannot find it as being marketed nor can you readily see whom may own that land. In that instance there is a public service on offer allowing you to trace the present owner of a piece of land. There is a fee charged for this service. We advise you read the full terms and conditions prior to using the service.
All details of which can be found on the Land Register Online website.

What are business rates and how much will I have to pay?
Non-domestic rates (often called business rates) are the way in which businesses and other occupiers of non-domestic property contribute towards the costs of local authority services. The amount of business rates that you will be liable for depend upon the size and location of your property and what you will pay is determined by the rateable value of your property. To find out what ratebale class your property is in, use the search facility provided by the Valuation Office Agency which allows you to search by postcode or billing reference and local authority.
To access information and the search please visit the Valuations Office Agency website.
You can also contact your local authority business rates department.
