Local people reap the rewards of Warburtons rise in success!
Warburtons new extension to their bakery operation is almost complete, as business continues to thrive in their Enfield Plant. Warburtons who set up in the area in 2003 and invested £33 million in their site at Delta Park Industrial Estate, are now investing a further £17 million by building an additional production and distribution facility and creating a further 100 jobs.

Yasar Halim's bakery and delicatessen in Green Lanes, Haringey, has been selected as one of the top 100 shops worth visiting on the planet, alongside Bloomingdales in New York and Selfridges in London.
North London business wins HSBC start-up Star Awards
Five fledgling firms from across London have fought off stiff competition to be crowned Regional Winners in the 2006 HSBC Start-Up Stars Awards - the UK's premier showcase for the most promising start-up businesses and the inspirational entrepreneurs behind them. North London's Maxitech.biz is one of those five and will collect a prize package worth £4,000.
Maxitech.biz reaches the finals of the international World Challenge Awards
Multi-award winning computer recycling company Maxitech.biz has reached the finals of the World Challenge Awards, the global competition organised by the BBC, Newsweek and Shell. World Challenge rewards individuals or groups which use enterprise and innovation to the benefit of local communities. Maxitech.biz is the ONLY UK-based business to make it to the final stage. Over 800 nominations were received from around the world for this year's World Challenge Awards and Maxitech.biz, run by Peter Paduh, named Young Business Person of the Year at the London Business Awards, is one of just 12 companies to make it to the finals.
London 2012 Update
London 2012 has launched a new initiative for businesses seeking information about working with the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The website offers a free registration service which allows businesses to register their interest in finding out about new Games opportunities, as well as key announcements and updates on key areas of progress.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise
The Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion (QAEP) celebrates and recognises the activities of individuals who have played an outstanding and significant role in promoting enterprise skills and attitudes in others in the UK.
